BookMy Holidays – Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all holiday bookings and visa appointment services provided by BookMy Holidays. By making a booking with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms are intended to comply with applicable UK consumer protection legislation, including the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and any other relevant laws.2. 2.1 Booking and Payments
- All holiday bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the relevant airline, hotel, tour operator, or other travel supplier.
- Prices are subject to change until your booking has been confirmed. Price changes may occur due to exchange rate fluctuations, supplier price revisions, taxes, or other market conditions.
- A deposit or full payment may be required at the time of booking, depending on the supplier’s requirements.
- Once a booking has been confirmed, it is non-transferable unless the relevant supplier expressly permits the transfer.
2.2 Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellation and refund policies are governed by the terms and conditions of the relevant airline, hotel, tour operator, or other supplier.
- Deposits become non-refundable after 24 hours from the time of booking unless otherwise stated.
- If a holiday or travel service is cancelled by the supplier, we will assist you in obtaining any refund that is due under the supplier’s policy.
- Refund processing times typically range from 14 to 30 working days, depending on the supplier.
- We strongly recommend that all customers purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances.
2.3 Changes and Amendments
- Requests to amend bookings, including changes to travel dates, passenger names, destinations, or other booking details, may incur additional charges.
- Any amendments are subject to availability and the terms and conditions of the relevant supplier.
- Administration fees may also apply where permitted.
3. Travel Documents and Passenger Responsibilities
It is the traveller’s sole responsibility to ensure that they possess:
- A valid passport with sufficient validity for travel.
- Any required visas or entry permits.
- Any health documentation, vaccinations, or other travel requirements applicable to their destination.
BookMy Holidays accepts no responsibility for denied boarding, refused entry, missed departures, or additional costs resulting from incomplete, incorrect, expired, or missing travel documentation.
4. Flight Details and Passenger Information
Customers are responsible for carefully checking all booking details immediately upon receipt, including but not limited to:
- Passenger names (which must exactly match the passport or travel document)
- Travel dates
- Flight times
- Departure and arrival airports
- Transit and connection times
- Stopovers
- Baggage allowance
- Any other flight information
Once tickets have been issued, corrections or changes may not be possible and, where permitted, may incur additional charges imposed by the airline or supplier.
5. Travel Insurance and Baggage
We strongly recommend that every traveller obtains comprehensive travel insurance appropriate for their journey.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your insurance policy provides adequate cover for your individual travel requirements, including cancellation, medical expenses, baggage, delays, and personal belongings.
You are also responsible for complying with all health and vaccination requirements applicable to your destination. Advice should be obtained from your GP, travel clinic, or other qualified healthcare provider.
BookMy Holidays accepts no liability for lost, stolen, delayed, or damaged baggage. Any claims relating to baggage must be made directly with the relevant airline or carrier in accordance with their procedures.
6. Liability
BookMy Holidays acts as an intermediary between customers and independent third-party suppliers, including airlines, hotels, tour operators, transport providers, and visa application centres.
Except where required by law, we are not liable for:
- Any failure or delay by third-party suppliers.
- Flight delays or cancellations.
- Changes made by suppliers after booking.
- Force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, industrial action, war, terrorism, severe weather, government restrictions, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
- Any indirect or consequential financial loss arising from the actions or omissions of third-party suppliers.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful under UK law.
7. Airline Financial Failure
BookMy Holidays cannot accept responsibility for any financial loss resulting from an airline or travel supplier ceasing operations, becoming insolvent, or otherwise failing to provide the booked services.
Customers are strongly advised to purchase suitable travel insurance that includes protection against supplier failure and financial insolvency where available.
8. General Provisions
- These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
- BookMy Holidays reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The version in force at the time of booking shall apply to your booking.
